Dear Rotarians,
I’m excited to share an update on our collaborative grant project involving all four Rotary Clubs of Norman that highlights our shared commitment to service, sustainability, and partnership with the City of Norman.
This year (2025 application), two of our Rotary clubs applied for the district grant to support the purchase and installation of recycling bins at city parks, with the remaining two clubs committed to applying for the grant next year (2026 application) to continue and expand this effort. This project is a true example of Rotary collaboration in action.
For this year’s installation, a total of ten recycling bins will be placed:
- Five bins at Rotary Park - Five bins at Legacy Park
Each bin will include a bronze plaque featuring the Rotary wheel and the inscription: “Provided by the Rotary Clubs of Norman.”
This project represents a strong partnership between the Rotary Clubs of Norman and the City of Norman and reflects our collective dedication to making a positive environmental impact in our community by encouraging recycling and responsible stewardship of our public spaces.
To celebrate this effort, we will be hosting a photo opportunity and invite members from all four Rotary clubs to attend. The local newspaper has also been invited.
